What we collect

We collect information in two ways: what you give us directly, and what we gather automatically when you use our service.

Information you provide:

• Your email address when you join the waitlist or create an account
• Payment information when you purchase a gift (processed securely by our payment provider — we never store card details)
• A gift message, if you choose to include one
• A delivery address, if you are the recipient claiming a gift

Information collected automatically:

• Basic usage data (pages visited, features used) to help us improve the product
• Device type and browser, for compatibility purposes
• Approximate location (country/region level only) via IP address

How we use your information

We use what we collect to do three things: fulfil your order, improve our product, and communicate with you when it matters.

• Processing and delivering gifts you send or receive
• Sending order confirmations, delivery updates, and redemption codes
• Letting you know when Prezz.io launches (if you're on the waitlist)
• Diagnosing bugs and improving the experience over time
• Complying with legal obligations

We do not use your data to serve you advertising. We do not build profiles for sale to third parties. We do not send you marketing without your consent.

Gift senders & recipients

When you use Prezz.io to send or receive a gift, both parties may provide personal information as part of the gifting process. We handle that information carefully and use it only to fulfil the order.

Personal information provided by one party is not shared with the other beyond what is necessary to complete the transaction and provide order status updates.

Delivery addresses are used solely for fulfilment purposes and are not retained beyond the period described in Section 06.

When we share data

We share your information only with the third-party partners required to operate our service, and only the minimum necessary to do so. These include:

• Fulfilment partners — receive the information needed to process and deliver physical gifts on our behalf
• Payment processors — handle your payment securely; we do not receive or store your full card number
• Email delivery providers — send transactional emails such as order confirmations and redemption codes on our behalf
• Analytics providers — help us understand how the product is used, on an anonymised basis

All partners are contractually required to use your data only for the purpose of providing their service to us. We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety and security of our users or service.

Cookies & tracking

We use a small number of cookies to keep the service working and to understand how people use it.

• Essential cookies — required for the site to function (session management, security). These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand which parts of the product are useful and which need work. These are anonymised and do not track you across other sites.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can control analytics cookies via your browser settings or by contacting us.

Data retention

We keep your data only as long as we need it.

• Waitlist email addresses are deleted within 30 days of launch, unless you create an account
• Order records (excluding payment details) are retained for up to 3 years for legal and accounting purposes
• Delivery addresses provided by recipients are deleted 90 days after the order is fulfilled
• Account data is retained while your account is active; you may request deletion at any time

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have a number of rights regarding your personal data. Regardless of jurisdiction, we honour the following for all users:

• Access — you can ask us what data we hold about you
• Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion — you can ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Portability — you can ask for a copy of your data in a readable format
• Opt-out — you can unsubscribe from any marketing communications at any time

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. This includes encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and using reputable, security-audited third-party services.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

Children

Prezz.io is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
